Simon Coleman is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who has produced scores within a wide range of genres and styles, from Television to Multimedia, Production Music to Sound Design and beyond.

Having worked with many of the UK's leading Television Producers, Directors and Music Production companies, including Shiver Productions, Rize USA and Juice Music, Simon is known for creating diverse scores with both a strong melodic and rhythmic identity, as well as subtle textures and minimal soundscapes.

Simon first discovered music through the guitar, learning both Classical and Electric guitar through his School years in Yorkshire, UK. This was followed by a period of intensive study in jazz guitar and composition at Leeds College of Music and then the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

After going on to study film composition at the Royal College of Music, Simon found early success in the BBC New Talent competition for Television composers, being one of twelve finalists from over 1500 entrants throughout the UK.

Since then Simon has gone on to forge relationships with some of the UK's leading Television Producers, as well as international Directors and Visual Artists, establishing himself as a bold yet sensitive composer, with the ability to both strongly identify with a concept or idea, as well as create something unexpected, yet uniquely aligned with the project's original vision.

In addition to his composition repertoire, Simon has also been establishing himself as both a Producer/Orchestrator and Sound Designer through collaborations with filmmakers and artists such as David Bunting and Yu-Chen Wang.

Simon currently works from his studio in West London.

Simon's a fantastic composer and musician. Reliable, easy to work with and has the natural ability to interpret production briefs/treatments, turning basic ideas into an outstanding score or theme tune.

His original compositions have played a major part in helping us develop a successful brand of prime time ITV1 television programmes.
